Audrey Hepburn ne veniva avvolta mentre faceva colazione davanti a Tiffany.

pearls and bijoux and it wrapped Audrey Hepburn while having breakfast in front
of Tiffany’s.

può dire sia ormai diventato parte della cultura e dell’arte dietro la moda,
tanto che André Léon Talley, ex editor-at-large di Vogue America, ha deciso di
intitolarvi la propria autobiografia, nonché dedicargli una mostra.
We may say it’s almost part of culture and art behind fashion, so much
that André Léon Talley, former editor-at-large of American Vogue, gave its name
to his autobiography. He also is the curator of an exhibition dedicated to the
LBD.
Scavando
e rovistando negli archivi dello SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design,
Georgia, USA), ne è uscita un’esposizione moderna ma dal sapore classico,
dimostrando quanto un capo scuro e apparentemente impersonale possa diventare,
con un semplice tocco in più, una creazione d’Alta Moda. È così che grandi
couturier come Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Cristobal Balenciaga, Hubert de
Givenchy e Azzedine Alaïa, con i loro studi sartoriali, ne hanno fatto, citando
Talley, «il simbolo dei nuovi concetti di lusso e modernità».
Digging and searching into the SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design,
Georgia, USA) archives, he has created a modern exhibition, but with a
classical taste, that shows that an apparently dark garment without personality
can become a Haute Couture piece just with a special touch. That’s how
couturiers such as Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Cristobal Balenciaga,
Hubert de Givenchy and Azzedine Alaïa help make it, quoting Talley, «the symbol
of new concepts of luxury and modernity».
Raison d’Être non è stata da meno ed è riuscita a dargli un
tocco in più con il bauletto dipinto a mano, ormai simbolo di eleganza senza
tempo, senza perdere di personalità o peccare di superbia.
